HDMI
Product Introduction:
HDMI has been developed as a universal interface, implemented on A/V receivers, surround sound processors, video displays (both flat panel and projectors), digital set top boxes and DVD players. Physically the HDMI is a 19 or 29 pin interface with a connector much more robust than today’s Scart. When using an inline equaliser, HDMI cable lengths can be longer than common. Amphenol can provide customers solutions, such as adding latch for increasing retentive strength.
Feature and benefits:
ü Connects between displays and signal sources
ü Via a single cable, HDMI dramatically simplifies cabling, reduce cost and helps provide consumers with the highest-quality home theater experience.
ü HDMI is a 5Gbps (5 Gigabits per second) or higher speed channel, allowing uncompressed digital video at up to 1080 (1080 lines progressive scan) video with multi channel audio and control signals to be transmitted from device to device.
ü For existing DVI equipped products, HDMI is closely related to DVI. Various DVI-HDMI and HDMI – DVI converters are already available, allowing the two standards to work seamlessly together.
ü Full shield coverage protects against harmful EMI/RFI interference..
ü Provide customer solutions.
